Francesca Smiraglia

Italian designer Francesca Smiraglia lives and works in Milan and southern Italy. Born in 1983, she graduated in 2008 in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano with a specialization in product and lighting design. She is always constantly looking for ways to improve her knowledge and develop new methodologies of “design thinking”: her training begins with product development of furniture and lighting fixtures and then she focus her job on lighting design to achieve greater awareness of light. She currently works as lighting designer, mainly for Interior design, retail and hospitality industries and also as a product designer in particular thinking of products that explore the conceptual and anthropolo-gical sphere, the relationship between human and environment, considering formal aesthetics of the products focused on the interaction with them and their functionality.

Marc Sadler

French citizen born in Austria, Marc Sadler worked as a designer in France, US, Asia and Italy. He was one of the first to graduate in “esthétique industrielle” in Paris, a pioneer in experimentation on the materials and contamination between technologies. Today is consultant for a variety of companies. Awarded 4 times with the Compasso d’Oro together with 4 Honorable Mention awards of ADI Association Industrial Design, his works have been awarded several times internationally over the years.

Yonoh Creative Studio

Yonoh is a Valencia-based design studio founded in 2006 by Clara del Portillo and Alex Selma. Combining their creative visions, they focus on product, graphic, and interior design, known for simplicity, functionality, and fresh character. Their work has earned top awards like Red Dot, iF Design, and Good Design. Clara and Alex, both industrial designers, launched Yonoh after meeting at a design exhibition in 2004. Their name, an ambigram, reflects the studio’s dual creative soul. Since 2014, they’ve also shared their approach through teaching and workshops worldwide.

Alberto Saggia & Valerio Sommella

Both graduated from the Politecnico of Milan in 2004, the first with a specialization in lighting design and more than 10 years of collaboration with the Metis studio, the latter with an experience strongly linked to product design started in major design studios between Milan and Amsterdam. Since 2009 they collaborate specifically in the design of objects related to the lighting world, combining a technical vision with an aesthetic approach based on formal, material, technological and functional innovation.

Oliver Schick

Oliver Schick, born in 1969 in Darmstadt, studied product design at HBK Saarbrücken. After working as a freelance designer, he founded his own studio in 2005, focusing on furniture, lighting, and interior design. He explores experimental projects on materials, functions, and sustainability. His design approach aims to create products with strong character — simple, functional, yet rich with small, unexpected details that spark emotions and associations, striking a balance between function and storytelling.

Jordi Pla

In 2003, Jordi Pla worked as an intern at André Ricard’s studio. For a long period of time he worked and collaborated with different companies and professionals linked to the world of design. Finally, in 2011 he created his own design studio Jordi Pla Studio. The creation of the studio marks the beginning of a new professional stage in which he has created a wide variety of designs focused on different market sectors such as: furniture, lighting, urban furniture, home furnishings, accessories, packaging, as well as experimental and introspective projects.
